i wish i could make it, too... NC sounds way better than SD! i wish i'd noticed this thread a while before spring break and maybe i woulda planned a road trip... you only live once, right? maybe, someday, we can get something in the upper midwest?

maybe... i doubt it, though... stupid lake michigan between here and there makes the trip like 13/14 hours and 850 miles. i understand it's farther for you to get up there but i struggle to get a weekend off from work (that drive alone would require about a day each way {for stops and the like}) but Dallas, Texas, is closer to here than Ann Arbor, Michigan, is!

(Kansas, Illinois, Missouri or even Colorado would be more likely...)
let me know, though, b/c i'll consider it... the last time i was that way was the time we went 9.5 hours to Chicago for a Twins game.

**EDIT** you actually live closer to Michigan than I do, believe it or not! I just mapquested Ann Arbor (a relatively central city) to you and me and you live 100-some miles and 2 +/- hours closer! AH, I never thought I would begrudge/bemoan a lake!

No, i didn't! That would almost be perfect! (By then my baby will be well on her way to show condition, and that is actually on my side of Chicago (not far off I90, either, so easy to find!)...

**Switching threads before hijacking**

I may have to take a few days off work andshow up for this one!

GUYS, have a great time in NC... I am jealous! (snow and rain in my forecast for the entire week!)
