Verizon so sucks! Here in London Ontario for 2 years I worked Verizon DSL technical support for the American Eastern board. That company was/is so lacking integrity it made me ashamed to work there and eventually I walked out, mid shift, even tho it paid pretty damn good. I hope to never be a part of such a dehumanizing process again. I was paid to BS the customers so bad it really should be illegal...

Its been years since I worked there. All I can assure you is that they don't care what you want or need. We used to have to tell people that we were working on their service or outages and really we had no idea. No such service measures were even in place - you may as well have been calling some hut in Indochina. There was zero connectivity or service offered to actual technical issues. This was for internet only, but I can't imagine there phone or wireless service is any better.

But I agree, it is the whole industry that is afoul and I'm happy to find myself in a much more personable position now. I can't necessarily change the world with my actions, but I refuse to be part of the problem

That's cool I used to have a few different direct numbers at Nextel and could get things done quick like Phones switched and plans upgraded. Aahh the good ole days of cell phone modding. Besides there poorly tiered plans Ive only had one problem with my bill and additional charges I called and complained and they took them off.

Any decent phone these days basically requires a data plan. Just another way for them to say I gotcha
