Not sure if it leaves the code in the memory once the CEL turns off (Unless the bulb burnt out ) LOL

Something to consider when you check it out...
Keep us appraised of what you do find out if anything...
Thanks!

Morning everyone, and happy family day to my canadian mcf brothers and sisters

George nice tattoo, I am like Space and just too afraid to get one, but I really do appreciate the art and talent that goes in to most of them (I have watched bad ink lol some of the tattoo's out there look like they were done by kids at playschool, but some are pure works of art), it's weird I can give needles without batting an eye, yet when it comes time for me to get one, that is a whole different story.

TomF do yourself and your car a favor and run a can of seafoam through it, just wait til your almost empty, use a funnel as they are not really designed to it in our gas tank openings and pour in the bottle and fill the car up and drive it til almost empty again. It is a great product that seams to do wonders for cleaning out the gunk.

Jason, were you able to find a replacement car yet?

David, we have two boston terriers and they have internal alarm clocks, I swear they do, the male wakes up every morning at the same time and barks and whines til we let him out, not as bad on the weekends because the kids will let him out, but it does make it hard to sleep in lol

I hope everyone has themselves a great day

Thanks!
It had a stored code
P0556 - Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

I looked it up and it talks about replacing the sensor.
Seems to me fixing the issue that the sensor is reporting would be a more prudent approach? It doesn't say if pressure was high or low, just that there is a problem. Why have sensors if the solution to every problem is replacing sensors. This just seems to keep the sensor manufactures in business.

I cleared the code, I'll wait and see if it comes back.

Sadly, no. I really want another Grand Am GT, much like what I wrecked. I have checked every thing I can from drive by's at dealerships, Craigslist, eBay, forums, Google searches, newspaper classifieds, AutoTrader.com and so on. Nothing is showing that appears to be the right match for me.
I'm confident something will pan out.

On the plus side, to allow the Monte to stay parked for the winter, I'm borrowing a car from my folks (as it has not been used since my dad got knee surgery in November). So I have some time to hopefully find a great replacement car.

But I'll admit, I miss that Grand Am.

6 inches of new snow on the ground. Made work slow going. Monte is at the shop getting new getting worked on. On the plus side I got to test the new tires on my pick up. They are sweet. Never even put her in 4wd. Hope everyone has had a great day.

Evening/afternoon all, busy day off for me. Wife had work so it gave me some time to start working on the brakes on my other car. Hopefully getting a phone call shortly to pick up the rest of the parts I need. Then went and did our taxes, and have been given the from the wife to do a little more work on the monte. Now to think about what to do next. Hope everyone else's Monday is going alright.

Good evening all - snowed here again - this is getting real old. I had the day off today so I didn't have to drive in it.
