Good to hear they didn't total it. Would've been a shame to total that car.

Evening all, beach bum mike, the bumper damage is fairly minimal, i'll either try to compound it or just leave it alone. Tint is staying on the monte, ticket probably will be $100 or less.

Chibi Mike, i'm well aware lol. Its obviously leaking but it isn't a drastic leak yet as the system still had some pressure when it wasn't working. Every car i've had has had a/c problems.

Well, tonight went to install a new gear box in the F150 my dad and I co-own. Removal Saturday before the monsoon hit went pretty quick, re-install, eh, not so much. But before calling it a night, got past one of the worst hurdles, so I'm happy. Planning to wrap it up Wednesday.

Mike, great job helping a co-worker! Some times the smallest things we can do mean a big difference to others. You saved that guy time and money! I say he owes you lunch :P

And Keanne, I can relate about A/C problems. One of the things I've been messing with ever since I bought my Monte has been A/C problems. Changed the evaporator core in the dash, then found out the condenser in the front was shot. Finally had it working last year and it had been working great this year. Sunday, went to switch it on and NOTHING! I know next to nothing with fixing A/C stuff, I have a call to a friend far more experienced in this market then I to see when he has a chance to look this over.

The fun of car ownership

A/c is probably one of the most expensive fixes too, my 97 actually had no compressor when i got it, the horizon i went through a slew of work converting it to modern refrigerant, but its by far the coldest lol.
