Mornin guys. Just relaxing before bed. Hopefully I'll be able to get my cable and internet set up soon. I may see if I can just pick up the equipment and set it up myself. That would be easier with my schedule.
Was at a local Chevy dealer the other day. They checked the system to see if my Monte was on the list of any recalls. Says it is, for the ignition switch issue. I already knew that thanks to you guys here on the forum. But still haven't gotten an official letter in the mail. Wondering if maybe it went to my old address.
If GM's fix is putting an insert into my key and telling me to take my car key off my key chain, no thanks. How about GM refund me the over $1500.00 I had to spend getting the ignition switch replace 3 times since I owned the car. And putting a better designed system in would help.
At this point, they can disable my passlock system for all I care. It doesn't stop any thieves. Only the rightful owner with the correct key can't start the car. Awesome system.
