Default Mom, 1919-2009

My Mom passed away this morning at 9:43 AM, very comfortably (thanks to morphine) She had most of her meds stopped Wednesday AM by hospice. Between diabetes and congestive heart failure, it got her. She passed at home. I was there holding her hand, along with Dad (92) and my wife LadyT.

This picture was taken about a year ago. She was the kindest and most loving person I and many others have ever known.

Nellie E. Root. Born March 18, 1919. Passed November 27, 2009. She was preceded but all her brothers and sisters, and 2 grandchildren.

She will be missed by all, but we are EXTREMELY happy she is not suffering anymore.

Please pray for my dad Dale. He has been Mom's caretaker foe decades, and has just lost his wife of over 68 years, and they were together for over 75 years. My niece and her 2 kids live with him, but he will be lonely.

Wayne,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It's a shame when things have to happen like this, especially around the holidays. Though I know it was a battle for a long time, and glad to know that the pain is no longer there.

I am sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. From what I have heard about her, it sounds like she lived a wonderful life and had great people around her! She will be missed by all of us, thanks for letting her be a part of our great forum.

Glad to hear that you see the positive in this, that she no longer suffers and is in a better place.

I know this is still early in the thread, but THANKS to all that have responded. And yes Amy, she IS in Heaven with MANY of the saints that have preceded us. I pray that she gets to say "HI" to your Mom! LadyT lost both her Mom & Dad in 2000. We are sure that she is praising the Lord with her parents, also.

BTW, I give my sister 2 weeks tops. She is 48.

Wayne I am so sorry for your loss. I will say a prayer for your dad. I know it has been hard on my grandpa since my grandma passed. At least she is pain free now. MY thoughts and prayers for you and yours.
