But, I don't think I'd be letting her have the keys if she already knows how to put them in the Ignition Switch.

That's the opening paragraph to a tragedy quite possibly. I don't mean to rain on your parade, but things can happen and I wouldn't want anything to happen to Mia Joy or your car or both!

That was going to be my response as well.

She can start the engine all she wants but unless some damage has been done (like people who forced the gear shift to move on newer cars when it wasn't suppose to) about the only damage she could do is to hang on to the key in the "start" position and possibly damage the starter, flywheel, or maybe the engine?

smart girl... maybe in about 8-9 years old you can let her drive it a little on the driveway...

You can't hang the key in the start position and damage the starter on new cars.

You should know RJ, you have an LTZ.

The starter function is on a "wire."

Try it. Keep the key in the start position when it starts, the starter deactivates automatically when the car fires.
