space, i wonder if mamonte Mike stopped at the above casino...

Brock, my dad told me one of his buddies had the same problem with a statie, while driving his 70's LTD station wagon, and he laied on the brakes because " he coulda sworn that deer was gonna run out in fronta him, i guess he got scared off when ya locked up your brakes, officer." he got away with it, too

a whole lotta nothin goin on today, im waiting to hear from my dad & see what commuting nightmares penndot set up, they closed the only bridge outta here leading to stroudsburg, and i was supposed to head down tomorrow. they are directing everyone over one of the craziest mountian hill roads around here, and i bet theres gonna be a ton of accidents. only other route is route 402, way outta the way for me. some penndot rep was quoted in the local paper saying that " residents should feel lucky that they are getting any repairs", which i guess translates to " we could give a crap about you guys, but we are gonna get in trouble if we dont fix the bridge. this is only an act to cover our tails, not yours"

Break'in News
`if you plan a Trip to see `Ryan,
it's a BUZZKILL 4-Sure
Bushkill Bridge closed to all vehicles for 18 days beginning July 9

City Folks R `Pissed 4-Sure

Superintendent John J. Donahue has announced that the bridge over Bushkill Creek on US Route 209 in Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area will be closed to all vehicles starting on July 9.. The bridge will reopen no later than July 27. The closure is necessary to complete repairs to the bridge.

During the closure, vehicles of 15 tons (30,000 pounds) Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or less will be able to use US Route 209 through the recreation area between Bushkill and Milford. Such vehicles will follow a 4.3 mile detour route to bypass the closed bridge. Traffic will be detoured onto Winona Falls Road, East/West Sugar Mountain Road, and Bushkill Falls Road.

Vehicles with a GVWR in excess of 15 tons will not be able to use US Route 209 through the recreation area between Bushkill and Milford, and will not be allowed to follow the detour route described above. Vehicles in excess of 15 tons GVWR must find alternate routes.

Variable message signs will be placed on US Route 209, I-80, I-84, and other major roads to the area to inform motorists of the closure. Additional signs will mark the detour route. US Route 209 will be barricaded at Bushkill Bridge and at the recreation area’s South Contact Station. In addition, Community Drive will be closed between River Road and US Route 209.

“While we regret any inconvenience this may cause, these essential repairs will enhance everyone's safety,” said Donahue.

yup, space, its gonna be fun, for sure. at least they are doin it on thursday, the dang signs move too slow to see what date it starts. suger mountian road is gonna be really entertaining, i can handal it, its everyone else im afraid of, lol. i cannot find any good pics of the road itself, but its very steep and twisting, and going down there is nowhere to stop, if you loose your brakes for some reason you are gonna go into the ravine.
thanks for the good info, space.

Well, I can't actually say I am glad to be back, but there is a certain element to coming back home and everything that comes with it that is always nice.
Starting up the Monte for the first time when I got home was very nice! I'll try to get the pictures up in a little bit.
And, I know I've been hesitant to actually feel deserving of the MCF MOTM award, but I feel my car is finally worthy. I've done quite a few things now and I like where Mr. Burns is at in his life! lol There is definitely a lot of good competition out there now though.
