Evening all... kinda upset with the g/f.
Her dad is going through a depression spell right now (due to the divorce) and she was over at his house working with him on his company he's trying to start.
She texted me at 4 asking if she needed to come pick me up since eleanor is still in the shop.
I said yes, she said she's on her way.
It takes 30 mins to get to my work from her dads. Ii got off at 520 and can't get hold of her nor do I see her anywhere in the parking lot.
I walked all the way home from work, (6 miles) during rush hour in a busy city that takes an hour to drive 6 miles. During ruch hour.
She called me when I was halfway home, told me I could have waited and im stupid for walking home, then has to go suddenly. She's still at her dad's house and its 7 pm right now as im posting.
I am not mad she didn't come get me, I just wish she would have called to tell me to get anotherride.

Don't worry sparky, im watching for the loonies. Also a three day meeting sounds fun, I hope tthey feed and water you as well as have a cot for you to sleep in.
Also, watch out for that stupid intake manifold gasket on your wifes car, otherwise it'll end up like mine. I already know of two other 3800 powered cars it happened to. (One of them has donated its parts to my car.

I don't remember. What exactly happened to Eleanor and her intake manifold gasket?

The original design for the upper intake manifold has a weak spot where the" stovepipe" for the egr valve enters it. If it cracks, the car will take on water.
Also, the intake manifold (I think its the lower) gasket original design has a smaller piece of rubber that seperates from the rest of the gasket again letting the engine take on water.
You can get the improved design of both with the smaller stovepipe inlet on the UIM and for the LIM, they make an improved gasket with ridges to help seal water out of the engine.
If the LIM gasket gets this leak, the car will overheat and in most cases throw(if not warp) a rod.
