Lisa, I'm sorry to hear about that young man, also. My sis' had mersa.
Jack IS in a better place. I KNOW that for a fact! Jack was the farmer that let me help him haul corn for him last fall, when I was out of work. He was the head trustee at our Church.
ANYWAY! This is an AUTO forum, and enough of the sorrow. But we ARE family, and we share these things with each other. That's part of this big MCF family!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Just working on the house to get it ready for selling. We have a realtor coming over Wednesday (maybe, now).
Watching the Bristol race, and browsing for new houses on the 'net. Later all.

Lisa, so sorry to hear about him and his fight for life. It really puts life in perspective for the rest of us.
Just thought I would jump on for an update. Added new pics to the house thread as I got some work done today. Took a nasty fall off the ladder at the beginning of the day, and I am sore tonight. Tomorrow is going to be painful, but I have another full day of work on the house.
Thanks to those for their concern and thoughts they shared. My grandfather is about the same. He needs 24 hour supervision and sleeps most of the day. He has lost 50 pounds in the last 2 months and the doctors figure the cancer is a throughout his body. He is receiving Hospice care and they are amazingly helpful. I don't think he will make it through this winter, but the doctors don't have any idea on a time table. He is receiving great care from my aunt and uncle and I am truly happy for that.

Thanks for those who commented. My other friends son has a recurring staff infection in his brain. They can't get rid of it. Just when they think he is getting better, it starts all over again. Been a bad year for alot of us. Makes you appreciate alot of things. And never take family for granted. Sorry for those of you who have lost someone or are going thru strife right now.

Lisa, Mersa is what my Dad had and was in the hospital for 8 days with. He had to have emergency surgery to remove the absece, and then spent 8 days on really strong antibiotics. My Dad was lucky enough to fight it and is now on his way to a good recovery without loosing any limbs.
I'm really sorry to hear about your friends son, I wish them the best and hope things work out for them.
