Another day in the upper 20's / low 30's. Ugh!

Evening all. We had our first little league baseball practice this evening. I'm an assistant coach on my daughter's mostly 8 and 9 year olds team. This is her second year. It was too cold outside. We just did some fielding drills with them, trying to get a feel for the team. We have about 15 kids, 7 of which have not played organized ball before. This one really short kid says he never played on a team before, but he fields and throws very well (he stopped every ball we hit at him and his throws are very accurate, if not real powerful yet, but that will come in time). This is my first time coaching and I think I'm going to enjoy it.

congrats to KU, they smoked Richmond by 20! Funny thing, at work we have a NCAA pool and I'm first and I picked Pitt to win it all ($400 for first), some big upsets this year and my #1 is out, go figure? But when it comes down to the final 4, I'll be out in a heartbeat....

 

I'm shocked that Duke got beat! We might make it to the final 4 but I doubt if they will win it all.

 

I'm saying UCONN this year!

Night all, it is a 11:52 p.m. on the west coast. Long day today, but a fun day. Spent the day at the ocean and then a 3 hour drive back to our resort. Took some pictures with my cell phone of a surf competition going on, so I will post those later for space. Had to use my cell phone as I left the big camera in the car. Stupid me, I didn't know there was a surf competition going on.
