WOke up really early this morning and have had 4 cups of coffee so far ( can you tell i'm nervous? ). I should be getting a call in a few mins and will let everyone know how it went. Thanks everyone for the wishes. I NEED THEM!!!

Morning. Washed the race car, finished and parked in the garage SECONDS before a huge downpoor. Haha the elements dont want my car clean

Afternoon All. Happy Friday!

Made it home from Oklahoma last night. The national news this morning showed cars in OK City yesterday morning (right where I was) spinning down the freeway. Guess I'm lucky I made it to the airport without incident.

The bad weather followed me. More snow in N. AL again last night. Luckily less than an inch here. Enough to make the roads a pain this morning though. Ordinarily I like winter. I'm sick of it this year. Too much time spent with icy roads. I can drive fine on snow. But ice... not a chance. More snow on tap for next Mon / Tue...

Off to Ft. Bliss / El Paso, TX, next week. It's supposed to be cool / cold but sunny there. Time permitting, I'll take a side trip to Green Valley, AZ, to visit my Mom.

I'm too embarrassed to show pics of the before stage, lol, so I'll be loading the after pics as the engine/trans comes along. The engine was pretty dirty! I'm actually decreasing the compression with 8.5 pistons (8.3 after MLS gaskets)/L32 rods since I'm going turbo. Although I shaved my head, does that count?:p

 

Hey Dave, good thing you made it home ok! OKC was pretty bad and people aren't great driving on ice, who is? At least Lawton got spared! Have fun in AZ!
