my couzin & her fioncay ( bad spelling i know) bought their house not too long ago, they bought a 1900's plantation style house in fordyce arkansas, on 4 in town lots, for 66,000.... and the house was PACKED with antiques.... 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a 2br 1 bath guest house / servants quarters with seprate kithcen for the main house.... god its nice.... oh, they had an estate sale for the antiques in the house & basicly covered the cost of the house!

Houses went way down around here with the economy the way it is...but they are still not affordable...Our house (my parents) was up $750,000 before this whole economic down turn. Now it sits at about 500,000...Like my mom always say, "we could not afford to buy or own house these days...LOL" My parents paid $222,000 back in 1991 for our house. When we got it, it was a total fixer upper, only reason my parent got it was becasue it has a big lot (for a suburban house)...but over the years, literally everything in the house with the exception on the master bathroom has been remodeled...the master bath is on the to do list still..lol. So its really nice now, but still not $500,000 nice, or the $750,000 that it was...The house was built in the Early 70's and is in a nice neighborhood, but by no means a gated one...jut your average middle class neighborhood. the house itself is only 1500Sq Ft. and 4 bedrooms, 2 baths...But I guess that is the price of living in California, its damn expensive, thats for sure...at least in the main city areas it is.

Good luck with the tooth Chris. I have no luck with dentists and have had an above average difficult time with my teeth. When my wisdoms were yanked it took 2 surgeons at 2 locations 10 hours to complete the job. Before it was over no drugs were involved anymore and I literally went into shock. Both my front teeth have bee replaced. Last tooth infection a had nearly killed me with my face swelling so bad I couldn't open my eyes anymore and missed a week of work. Inspite all this, I do have perfect teeth which I'm quite proud of - I've worked hard for them!

Wayne, I like the truck. Its a cool truck by the looks of 'er! Like 'Space said, it sure is handy having one now and again. And totally my opinion, but I think the generation of GrandPrix is as ugly as sin. One of the old bastard sales guys who "works" for my employer drives one - everyone calls it "The Compensator".

I'm going to go vote for Monte of the Month now. I missed the whole nomination process. I was away at Bristol last week without the wife, who will not let me forget it. She is on my back every second I am not paying attention to her now, so I've had a hard time getting to the boards. She is over my shoulder right now.
