Afternoon all.
LadyT's kinda decided her '99 Z71 sportside has too many miles, and is thinking about a new winter "beater". We looked at and drove an '06 GP GXP Wednesday, but it was in rough shape. Wheels were junk, as was the paint (black). Drove nice, and had all the toys, but for top $$$, no thanks.

I found this GP GXP last night, 59K miles, but looked spotless (it was, and still is raining), for $13,800. All the toys, 5.3 V8, HUD, etc, etc, etc.

What ya'll think? Is this a good winter beater? Or should we keep the truck?

-OR- you could just ask truckers if they mind you chaining the monte to the back of their trailers it could be like anti- social hichhikeing

rockin wayne, how manymiles are on the truck, what year is it, whats it got engine wise? and is it a 4wd?
to tell the truth, i like the truck better, my dads friend has a 91 shortbed 2wd, its the same red as my monte and is fairly optioned down, 6cyl, auto, rubber floormat, manuel windows & locks.... he put a billit grille in it, 17 inch boyd's for wheels, and just keeps it clean.... almost 230,000 on it now, runs super, & he gets compliments on it daily

If you don't have use for the truck then go with gp. I need a tow vehicle so the winter beater for me has to be a truck or suv.
