The fist stop is Buggs Island Lake, Boydton, VA. Over 800 miles of shore line.
Here's a picture of John H. Kerr Dam that forms the lake by damming the Dan and Staunton rivers.

Here is one of the turbines removed from the Dam in a rebuild. This is a 45,000 horsepower waterwheel. It is the largest single cast waterwheel made in our country. Built in Newport News, VA.

The soldier stands in honor of Confederate Soldiers of Mecklenburg.
The Courthouse was built in 1842. It is the only antebellum courthouse in VA with a six column portico. It is the closest in style to Jefferson's Capital building in Richmond VA.

Last but certainly not least is one of my most favorite places in the world. A pond on our family farm. I have hung out, fished, and hunted there my entire life.
