Robyn, these cars are mountain goats in the snow. If driven properly they go everywhere. I did find out last winter that 14 inches or deeper would tend to get me stuck. lol

It's like letting your firstborn go off to kindergarten! I dont want any harm to come to her!! I can't keep an eye on her!! I dont know what nefarious goings ons happen on that side street!!

Hi Robyn! And everyone else hangin' around, also!
Kinda late for me, but I couldn't sleep, and the wife is ALWAYS up late on the weekends, so here I am. Sorry to hear you have to park so far away Robyn. How's the job going?
Todd, I got my Monte stuck last year also. It was a blizzard, and I got stuck in a drift. Actually got stuck between 2 drifts. I got thru the one, and couldn't get thru the next, but couldn't back thru the 1st, either. I got a guy with a large front loader clearing a factory parking lot to clear a path for me. He never charged me a dime! Some people are like that. There ARE good people in this world. He is one. The good Samaritan with a HUGE front loader.
Chris, make sure you got power to the rear window defroster, and that the connections aren't broke.
And the ham, I just bought a ham today for $.98/lb. and got it sliced into steaks free. Normally, if I bake a ham, I get a can of pineapple sliced and some brown sugar, coat the ham with the sugar, add the pineapple and juice, and add more sugar. Cover it with foil, and bake a couple of hours or so. Keep an eye on the moisture level. You can get a boneless ham for a few bucks more. No waste, and easier to do. Cut it in half or quarters, and do the same thing with it. $20-30 should get you what you want.

thanks wayne for the input, i went out and the only place that defrosted was at the connections on each side, so i guess the grid is messed up from them trying to remove the tint! the adhesive is still on the inside with some pieces hear and there. so i guess i have to get it fixed one of these days!!! i think i can get by for this winter, i hope?? my drive to work is only about 24 miles a day!

Chris, buy a spiral ham w/ honey glaze from walmart!!! They're fantastic!!! half hour in the oven and they're golden! Wayne things are okay, I took a BIG jump in stats so they're off my backside... i'm just FREAKIN out about my monte being not within eyesight!! I swear to god I thought I was going to slide all the way back down that hill... the key is to never stop once you're on a hill... well I was trying to ditch my car in a parking lot of a beauty salon at the end of my street.... that wasn't going to happen. The parking lot is on the crest of a hill. Unshoveled. Yeah....... I've never been so scared IN MY LIFE then at that exact moment when I lost control of my monte!!

I did however, practice doing donuts in our unshoveled unsalted un NOTHING parkinglot at work.... I figured out how to get my car under control in a 180 spin situation!! These cars are awesome in the snow. I just wish my township would take better care of our roads!!

Chris if you need help with it let me know. I am ONE awesome cook. Or I should just invite any of the pittsburgh monte owners to my house for christmas!!! Yeah... no parking but great food. I was afraid if i parked the car in my alley behind my house, I wouldn't be able to make it up the huge hill because of all the ice!! the stuff's gonna freeze over!!

I loving sliding and playing in the snow. Chris your local grocery store should have a good priced spiral ham. We never spend more than $30.00. Have not tried the wal-mart ham.

Robyn I know what your are feeling. Thats one reason I have a house that I could park tons of cars on. Had a firebird side swiped once.

I'm going APE over here!!! I'd be safer parking her at the aeroport at this stage of the game!! (todd, you did say you wanted company, right?) I was thinking about buying a nice spiral ham for my folks for christmas... I should go up to walmart and do that, but I'm afraid that the roads have gotten to be too much like CRAP out there and to get to walmart I gotta go up three REALLY big hills!!
