MCF Members Christmas Blog: Saturday December 25, 2010
Had a ham and small turkey and all the other stuff. I'm on the couch and just relaxing with my wife and watching our son play with his toys. All's right with the world!!
Well...we're home from Christmas afternoon with the kids and grandkids. A million presents were opened and thrown around the living room. The cat slept inside a dollhouse box with ribbon around her tail. The grandkids abandoned the gifts to go out and play in the snow. Tomorrow we'll join the rest of the in-laws for a festive holiday dinner. My daughter hosts this every year, for 25 people - none of us know each other very well and have nothing to talk about, but other than that I bet we'll have fun. Hopefully there'll be a minimum of arguments and hissy fits. Keep your fingers crossed. Can you tell Christmas isn't my favorite holiday? Can you tell I'm feeling like an old grouch cuz my Monte got dirty on the snow-filled streets?
Hope everyone has had a great day. No christmas presents for me yet. We are waiting a couple of weeks until my stepdad gets out of rehab. We went and had a christmas lunch with him and he seemed in good spirits. I also was able to skype with my brother so my mom could see my niece and nephews open a few presents and wish them a marry christmas. Here is hoping the 2010 comes to a close soon and that 2011 can be a much better year.
