I'm BEYOND pissed!!!!

Good afternoon all, selling some furniture of mine today, so hopefully someone bites on this couch and loveseat I have for sale. This evening I got a guy coming to look at it.

 

Just got back from getting Jonny from school. There is a punk that has been bullying him for more then 2 weeks on the school bus. He has been reported several times to both the school and the transportation company. Yesterday they started to get into a fight when Lisa heard what was going on and broke it up cause the kid followed my son home

Jonny said that he had with this kid always messing around with him. So when we told the people her at the complex, they immediately knew who he was. Apparently, he has been told, in the past, that if he comes on this property one more time, he is going to be cited with trespassing.

So now back to today.

We get called my the Dean that Jonny is in the office cause they started getting into it again on the bus. Lisa tells the Dean that Jonny has reported him in the past and nothing has been done. The Dean knows about it and was waiting for a chance to look into it. WAITING FOR A CHANCE???? Is she waiting for my son to sent to the hospital or even worse, dead, for them to look into it?

They said that Jonny is not allowed to defend himself. If he does, then he will be suspended from school. And that he is only allowed to lift his hand to the kid and say, and i quote, "Your are in my space! Please leave!"

WTF!!!!!

So now Jonny is suspended for the day and we have a meeting with the Dean to see what is going to happen ( we didnt get to talk to him when we picked Jonny up ).

Side Note:

We also found out from Jonny that the bus driver said he is going to write the kid up again and have him removed the bus permanently ( the kid was already kicked off the bus for 2 days ).

I am getting to the point that its better to home school hims and not have to worried about the stupid Admins, Deans, and Teachers Just caring about getting a paycheck. The only reason i dont want to take him out is cause i want him to have social interaction with other kids his age.

So what am i supposed to do?

I need a nap...

Hey JJ sorry to hear about your troubles. When you meet with the Dean tell him you don't feel like your son is safe at school or on the bus. This should help move things along. I can tell you that whenever there is a fight in public schools both partys get suspended. It is true that you are not allowed to defend yourself at school anymore and if you do you get suspended. At the middle school I worked at the instigator was always suspended outside of school and the person who defended themselves gets in school suspension. It is a result of zero tolerance policy after all of the school shootings in recent years. It may not be right, but it is common policy.

As a parent you have to do what you feel is best. I am happy to offer ideas and suggestions. Good luck.

 

 

Man jj, that sucks to hear... I had a bully like that when I was in middle school. I didn't feel safe anywhere I went and it effected my grades. Lucky for me, back then I could defend myself and wheen I did, I just had to make sure the teacher saw that I was doing just that.
