Hey to ya, space.
Your dead on ,its who you spend it with. Noah brings me a smile to my face every moment, even when he's being a 'bad boy'. i told my wife, one day i am going to wake up and he's not going to be a our little baby anymore, it made me sad inside because i want him to be a baby forever he's so damn cute. but that's life

/end cheesy good moment lol

I just called a place looking for people and they said that i am too old ( just not in so many words ). They are looking for people out of school cause they are trying to have a "YOUNG" image. It seams that they dont care if the a 43 year old guy is perfect for the position and would be a loyal employee. They just want kids with those stupid looking hair cuts ( the ones that look like you just got up out of bed and were to lazy to brush your hair ) and then move on the first change the get.

Do employers not realize all the money they are loosing because of these practices? They are spending time and money to train kids just so they can move on with something else. They need to hire the 40+ people with years of experience and loyalty and actually build a stronger company.

End Rant.

Sorry, but its the truth.
I had the same problem at my job. I told them I'm incredibly immature so it evens out.

Seriously JJ, that's messed up. Too many employers are overlooking good people simply because of their age. Seems to me a guy with a family is more likely to be loyal and dedicated to the job. When I was in school, I looked at my job as something temporary to hold me over until I get the job I really want.

03JGMonte, nice job on the Monte's headlights, and the Cavi's taillights. You gotta get some Goo Gone or something to get the remnants of the sticker on the trunk though. Kinda takes away a little from the nice job you did on the taillights.

JJ I applied for a Job at REI, an outdoor clothing and sporting goods, and was told I was to fat to work their even though I was the exact candidate they advertised for. There loss and my gain as I love what I do now.

You got that right. So many companies are so worried about public image, they forget that there are people that DONT fit the norm, but yet are better whats needed then even they are.

looks nice mike

not much going on here, been snowing very lightly all day, got mabe 3/4 of an inch of fresh snow. im thinking i might go inspect the blizzacks i got free that are mounted on my extra wheels & if they are not dry rotted i might throw them on the front of the monte for a lil advantage, 'caus the roads suck, i guess no one knows how to operate the sander around here.

and im totally freaked out about my usual road i gotta travel on, after driving on it for 18years being very narrow, winding and having trees right on the shoulder, i was at a point i felt i could drive down it with my eyes closed. but they are planning to widen it and have loped back a good 30+ feet on both sides, and it just feels wrong, lol. worse yet, i had one of the moron macheine operators swing the bucket & boom on his excivator out across the lanes and i almost plowed into it... no flagmen, no warning signs, no flares, and the guy never even looked over his shoulder to make sure the road was clear. gotta love PA....
