I'm awake! A baby will do that to you. Mornin' folks!
Beer tour (of Labatt's) was alright, but not crazy exciting. I was not allowed to take photos and they wasn't a lot of beer drinking involved - not enough anyways. We were standing over those automated lines moving thousands of beer's per minute and it was hard to resist the temptation to pluck one off the line and pound it. It would hardly be missed. The tour was full of information, most of which I was unable to absorb. But here's a few things I learned:
* Beer and civilization both began rough about the same time - about 7,000 years ago. Beer people beleive man's salvage and nomad existence ended when we organized to grow grain and make beer
* John Labatt, at that original brewery, invented the 40 hour work week that the rest of the world followed (the brewery there was established in 1857)
* The Simcoe St location I visited has 16 fementing tanks which hold the equivilent of 16 million bottles of beer. The place ships 3.6 millions bottles (or equivilent) daily.
* This same location invented "ice brewing" and to this day anyone globally who sells "ice beer" pays a royalty to them for it
* I had explained to me why Budweiser is the most expensive beer in the world to make (have you ever read to label closely?) Aside from using rice instead of hops, it goes through a second fermenting with beechwood in the tanks, which has to be replaced and is not easily obtained. Bunch of other stuff
Okay... its some boring stuff. Drink beer and have a g'day!

That's a great link Mike! I use Google on about EVERYTHING, and usually get several options for answers to problems. I used to hate Google, now I use it every day.

Hello Moderator Wayne, and Member's reading my words/thoughts;
Thanks, and I was happy that you thought the information was good. I was not sure where to post it, and hope it's ok on the Blog.
We all had a great Christmas...The kid had to work, but awoke for the Senior Citizen Get together Christmas dinner He eats like a horse, but just can't gain weight....
New Years Eve we all get together to bring in the New Year (the kid is scheduled to work ), but he might get off early...
We bring the new year in with many of our senior friends, then we go back to the Beach-Bum-Home & party We don't drive during our celebrations ..We get to crazy
The kid gets buzzed on one beer > he's a cheap drunk
New Years Day we all go fishing & then play beach football.
Thanks for your words, and we all wish everybody a Happy/Safe/Fun New Year 2010....Be Smart/Safe out there if you are driving your Monte Carlo's.

Morning Everyone!!
Just sitting here drinking my first pot of coffee. I really need to wake up. LOL
Mike. Nice to hear from you man. Tell Kid that there are alot of empty "SPACE" on the forum.
I dont drink, but it is still some interesting facts about beer. Now if it was a Popcorn factory...
JG, 25-28 is about right.
Well let me TRY and get my day started. I really need to finish making my glove box lights and hunting down a switch to trigger. Always fun.
