Thats just my actual commute back and forth to work. But I usually put on average about 25-50 miles a day on my car while at work (from going to clients, sales, etc.) My daily average is right around 100 miles per day. Sometimes a smidge less, sometimes more.

Good Morn'in `Todd, That's not long enough to warm your `burban
`up : ) It's great that you live that close. Sounds like you have a
super plan for your summer `break. I wish I could spend a summer
on the water (2 dare 2 `dream: ). Good luck on completing your Masters degree. (Does that increase your pay @ teaching ?)
Thanks also again 4 starting our Member's Blog...Wish you and readers a happy `day....EnJoy

I'm really lucky when it comes to commutes to work. I work about 5 minutes away from home.

I can see why people in Cali get very comfortable cars for their commutes. All those highways and gridlock.

As for the user titles, I made those late last night. They'll change to the new title as each member makes their next post. So some will have the new and some will have the old. The Monte Of The Month user titles won't change for now.

Yes, "Patience is a Virtue"

I've read that short trips are hard on a engine and that
the motor never gets hot enough to burn off gasoline blow-by and condensation. And that Short trips cause both. When this happens poorly maintained motor oil forms gum, varnish and sludge. One should Make absolutely sure you have the proper viscosity motor oil in the motor to help reduse wear on cold starts, Is this still true on newer engines and oil...If it is, then `Lou If U need someone to drive your AweSome Monte SuperCharged SS & blow out all the carbon I will gladly
volunteer 4-RealSure lol

I don't have that prob with my skateboard or bike. Work is less then a mile away 4 me : )

Got about the same, it too is 35 miles mostly all interstate or rural highway, leaving at 2:30 AM traffic is non-existant so about 30 min is normal in the morning return trip is around 2:00 PM fairly light so usually max of 40-45 minutes unless there is an accident (I bend the speed limit the entire way, not enough to get pulled, but enough that they sit-up and take notice ). Seems like Friday is the worst day for returning home... guess people are leaving work early to get a start on the weekend.
