wish i could get a raise been at my job for a year & a half & nver gotten a raise & they wont give me one either but the guy they hired 4 months ago started out more than me & has gotten 2 raises sence than & hes always late & half the time nvr shows up
That sucks. My pay is an embarrassment and I've been working in my field for 15 years now - with the raise I will be getting I will be making the same money that I was making about 6 years ago. I was laid off back in July of 08 and just landed this full time job 4 months ago. Not my ideal job, but I needed to make sacrifices to get back into my field.
yeah i have a degree in Autobody but no shop will hire me b/c i have "too much experience" & they dont wanna pay me the money to go with that so im stuck working this crappy job for minimum wage no insurance no paid holidays nothin
I've heard a few people say that now when people go for jobs... saying "well you're overqualified, we can't pay you what you want." Well that person is two weeks away from losing their car and house, they've got to have a job, whether you can pay them what they're used to or not.... Maybe I should drop out of college while I'm ahead
yeah my job is total crap right now, work outside, have class B CDL that i had to get for the job & no pay raise & had to pay outta pocket, no payed vacation, no holiday pay, make 7.50 an hour, manual labor intensive job, been there 1 1/2 years with no raise, nvr late, only called out sick once
that effin sucks mike. i was making damn good money doin landscaping / day labor jobs in my development ( over 1000 homes in just my development), i was actually making more money that ANY local places would pay, for about 1/2 the time invested. but the economy took a dump and landscaping is pretty much done for me. im damn thankfull i dont gotta pay rent, IDK how you or justin do it. 7:50 / hr pretty much covers the fuel to get to work around here, and its all minimum wage jobs.
not much going on today. working on going through my dad's old magazines, got one in front of me from october '72 detailing the " all new" GM collanade body cars
kooool.....
HOT ROD's description of the '73 monte
: " elegance best describes the '73 Monte Carlo with its classic roofline and sculptured sheetmetal. Radial - ply tires are standard" and " chevrolets personal luxury car, the monte carlo, has taken on a new look of elegance with sculptured side sheet metal and a new rooflike including rear quarter windows. the entire suspention system has been redesigned to offer the best handeling and ride of any car its size for the industry. extensive work has also gone into the sound isolation of the car. frankly, the monte carlo is the quietest car we've ever driven! "
cool to look back
cool, just found another article, titled "OLD CHEVY'S NEVER DIE!!" with this for the pic:
