as long as you kept the tire size 225/55 and not 235/55 you shouldn't have any trouble with the rear strut plate
Thanks, something else I need to file away for future use.

yes the 16" rims have 235 on them I had no problem putting the 17" on as long as we put the 225 on the17" rim 1/2 a inch difference 235 to 225

Does that make up the difference so no ill effects on speedometer and odometer or not?

the 225/60/16, and 225/55/17 size tires turn out to be the same overall size when when mounted to the rim (obviously a 16" or 17" rim).

235 will be slightly wider, and slightly taller. (yes I know the 235 stands for the width, but the height is a ratio which is based partially on the width, which means the wider the width, the taller (fatter) it makes a tire based on that width)

other than that, not much new. my tech teacher has moved back to idaho so we have a sub for the rest of the year, and i pass a clone to MRL matt's monte heading home from work every day now, its pretty funny, we wave, lol. the guy works at the local resrot (fernwood) and the car looks like a clone to matt's only it has a le-bra on the front. the guy sometimes drives a black & silver '06-07 SS monte too. i gotta stop one of these days and see if i can leave an MCF invite, lol.
