hey guys stupid question time from me, I need a lockout type box for an outlet that has 2 outlets right up against a matress, and one that I need by a phone jack, any suggestions? the problem is, is that they all can get bumped and pulled out of the outlets, what can I do to surround them from getting knocked out or unplugged?

Chris you could try taping the plugs in if they are hidden behind something.

I have no idea Chris. You might have to go to Lowes of Home Depot and ask them.

thanks for the suggestions, it's just a pain, I have a two outlets right beside my bed and they have a couple things that are kinda important that I can't have them get unplugged (alarm clock ) that I need badly and downstairs there is a phone jack that my mom piles crap onto and then her phone goes out on her and I get blammed for it.... I'll figure something out!

Chris my mistake I was thinking you were trying to block them off. I would go to home depot/lowes and see what they say. You could try and build some kind of cover that would protect them and keep stuff from knocking them off.

Mabye get a power block, and run it off to the outlet thats farther away, or put on next to your bed, with the plug in that faces down?
Like this 30 amp but smaller? It looks harder to knock out.

thanks, I just need a cover around it so it won't get bumped off, I'll figure something out, I got a screw gun and self tapping screws that's all I need

yesterday my sister needed something to hang candy canes around her house for outside decorations and I gave her a bunch of zip ties and you would have thought she discovered electricity with them

right now i'm doing some sophistacted phone work on our phones here

edit: I wanted to toss Brocks sweet pic up..

Dont put those self tappers into a wire, you wont be able to pull yourself away from the outlet
