Hey all I hope everyones Monday is going good . Here was my weekend project for the Monte .I have been struggling how to connect my hood to my CAI so we cut a 4" in the new hood and a 4" hole in the CAI but where you have to put them foam was not going to work for me (well that is not true because it would have worked but there would have been only a 2 3/4" hole for air to go in to the CAI with a foam ring and I wanted more air flow than that ) So I went to NAPA and went exploring through there car parts I needed something that was 1 1/4" tall and 4" in diameter and soft enough to make a good seal between the hood and the air box and this is what I came up with. I think it came out good
well lunch!!! lol we are ahead of the curve aparently and cruising throught, the guy said he's going to try to set it up so we get to take off erlie and still get paid for the whole day!!! i kind of dought it but hell it's worth hoping for
well just emailed a guy about a front portion of a frame $75 obo if it's choped off far enought back to graft into mine i may pick it up
Bad news.It failed the test. The guy said that its most likely a bad TBI gasket and the 02 sensor. I just bought them both and checked the gasket with some carb cleaner with it was running. It did fall on its face. SO that means it is a bad gasket.
Tomorrow's project: change gasket and 02 sensor. Its getting to hot outside right now.
