MARCH PHOTO CONTEST THEME ( CONCOURS d' Chevy Monte Carlo)
March Photo contest! Once again we can use the old photo's that haven't been used in the contest previously. This month the theme is Concours d' Chevy Monte Carlo, Very similar to the Coucours d' El Egance that they have in Pebble beach, Emilia Island and all those fancy Car Venues.
Rule #1 Photo of your Monte on grass or within stepping distance of grass (avoid hemp shots)shown in the photo, or under Trees they always have them trees on the golf courses and a Golf course shot is good also or a lake or ocean background.
*The exception would be for our friend Zippy02 who may not have any grass in the Salt Lake state of Utah but if he has one on the Salt or some of the other real-estate, he can use it.
Some ideas would be the infield of Race track, in a Park, Highway shoulder/ medians, your own lawn Pastures, scenic overlooks, lakes, ocean background shots & Cemeteries.
If you have them entered by Sunday the 18th of March that would be good. Should be a fun and easy theme that everyone can play along, if we have more that 10 entries we will start another post, split the group and vote and then have a run off vote for the best one.

Drivernumber3, you my man are on a roll, thanks for your time and efforts at keeping these photo contests up and running. They are a nice format in that we all get to see other members Monte's in ways we would not normally have a chance to. Thanks Dale Sr., I hear you do breakfast with Elvis once a week... :
Hey and thanks for the special Salt Lake exclusion you have granted me. You have us pegged right, our deer eat hot sand and cactus, the women here wash their babies in briny salt water and us men, why we can hike 8 mountain peaks, cross 2 wide valleys, swim a river of flowing sand and still have time to corral a herd of wild mustangs, all before lunch. But I will be danged if we can find any grass to smoke , err I mean lay on at night to look out into the cosmos. aww this is heavy man...
I had to research the theme as I was not familiar with the term. But I guess we are trying to say "on grass" with fancy language? As lucky would turn out, I take photos like this a fair bit. I kind of get a kick of driving my car where it should not be for a pic. No one ever seems to complain and I haven't got the car stuck yet.
This is one of my favorites. The car is a little shadowy, but its got good sky. Usually I prefer a cloudy day shot to eliminate the shadows and the car looks glossier with less exposure, so the sky looks poopy in most of my shots

Hard choice but I gotta go with an oldie from circa 2011 - along the Saline River banks in Milan, Michigan with the Milan Public Library in the background. Car is at factory ride height here, prior to being lowered. The shot is a little deceiving but the river is between the car and Library.

Love your car Matt! how did you go about lowering it? Any ride issues?
