I have to throw my 2 cents into this.
Growing up in LA and the 70's, i saw the Lowrider scene first hand. I had friends with them and even my brother was thinking of "cutting" up one of his cars.
I love what they are doing with the MCs. About the only thing that i dont like is when they add 24"s. Just not my style. But because its not my style, i wont call them idiots. Its just not me.
You have to remember that a lot of the lowering kits nowadays, started with the Lowriders. They engineered the A-Arms and rear to lay them low or learned how to re-enforce them for hopping. That sparked a lot of companies to get involved and develop them further.
Then someone got the bright idea to use airbags from Tractor-Trailers and started another movement.
So the next time you guys see a lowered Monte, sports car, or even a lowered truck, thank the Lowriders for thinking outside the box and giving the world a different view on what a car can do.
kinda like what we are doing with the Monte. Letting people know that even the MC can be done to EVERYONES taste.
