Thumbs down license test, this thursday

so yeah...

taking my road test. have to drive a '99 durango... not to excited. the DMV is in the 'ghetto'... so um.. no taking the monte. besides, it still needs to be inspected.

i heard it's pretty easy. no driving on highways or answering questions. just the usual nerve before any test I take. only this one i'm pressured to pass. school starts next week, and ill be taking my monte by then.

i did the self/parent taught online thing. kind of blew off and made up driving hours. you need 50 hours and i probably did about 30. (who doesn't?) i know im a good driver, it's just i hate driving a durango. the monte i always drive is very different from an suv.

but ive decided to stop worrying about it. the more i worry the more mistakes i'll probably make. so feel free to weigh in on your first driving test. or give random tips.

still awake. I sleep about 6 hours a night. ill be off soon to wake up at 10:30. normal for summer. if i sleep any more than 6 hours I will want to sleep longer.

also thanks. yeah im just going to stop worrying about it... just had to get it off my chest I guess. thanks for the advice. i scheduled it at 10am, rather than late in the afternoon. i have the test slip with all the points and maneuvers on it that they use. so ill look over that some more.

Maw good Luck ! Hm 72 Monte??? Same year I graduated from High School. I am sure you will do fine. Being respectful to the tester(s) will go a long way.

My test drive was in a 62 Comet so you are testing with a much better car then I did.

Let us know when you get your License!

Good luck on your test. If you know how to judge distance using the body lines of a vehicle I'm sure you'll do fine. When I was in driver ed we had to drive a '73 land yacht...errr...I mean Buick LeSabre and I took my driving test in a '65 Ford station wagon. Watch your speed, following distance, checking the mirrors before changing lanes, and make sure you use your indicators.

I took my driver's test in my sister's Celica. The thing was small enough to parallel park blindfolded. Not that it was necessary.

Super easy, passed with flying colors.

Good luck on your test! Here you can use your own/parents cars, so I believe I took mine in an 83 Pontiac Sunbird sedan.

I took mine in a taurus, but I got to take it in drivers ed when I was 14 I think. Like a boss!

You'll do fine, if you miss a turn, don't try and swerve, just go up another block. I did that and the instructor said I just saved myself from failing.
