Does anyone have a dealer logon to access the presales list?

Statesville Auctions Last Monte Carlo
The last saleable Monte Carlo will travel to Manheim's Statesville Auto Auction in Statesville, North Carolina. On Wednesday, August 15, the Statesville Auto Auction will be celebrating its 25-Year Anniversary as a GM Auction. As part of that celebration, the last saleable Monte Carlo will be auctioned off to the highest dealer bidder in this closed auction.

On Tuesday, June 19, 2007, the last two 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo models rolled off the line at the Oshawa Assembly Plant. The last two models were identical "SS" models with Precision Red exterior paint; Silver Rally Stripes; and Ebony Nuance leather interior. The two models features the "SS" 5.3L V8 Engine with its "best in class" rated 303 Horsepower; 18" polished aluminum wheels; heated exterior mirrors; and AM/FM/CD and XM Radio.

The last Monte Carlo (VIN: 2G1WL16C179420058) will be retained by General Motors for our Heritage Collection. The second to last, or last "saleable" unit (VIN: 2G1WL16C179420057), will visit the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway over the weekend of August 28th. It is appropriate the Monte Carlo makes its last appearance at this legendary race since the Monte Carlo nameplate has the most wins in NASCAR history. While at the race, this last saleable Monte Carlo will be signed by all the current Team Chevrolet drivers who participate in the NEXTEL Cup Series.

That is a good idea.

How 'bout it Uncle Space. Wanna do some research and see if we could buy this as a poster?

I bet a bunch of us here would like one.

After seeing the 2008 Malibu...I really hope GM is not moving toward the big, oversize front grills like Chrysler did. Looks good on a truck, but not a car.

Besides, the car ends up with the aerodynamics of a refridgerator box.

I don't like the big grills even on trucks!
I bought my Intimidator because I wanted a full sized GM 2 door. Buick dropped the Riv', this is what was left. Now what?
