Just a quick thanks
Sorry for the quick sappy story/thread but i had to do this.
I really want to make this post, i was thinking of making a FB post but it would be to long.
I would really like to give a big thank you to my Monte Carlo Family here for everything while going through this rough medical time in my life.
Asking about me when i was in surgery and seeing how i am feeling everyday, it means a lot to me.
I don't have much of a family in my life outside of my Mom. most of my family didn't really care much and didn't ask about me at all while going through this rough medical time for me.
I got out of surgery Monday in big time pain, big pain. I just woke up from the anesthetic and was miserable. Amanda was by my side and one of the first things she told me was about Keane and Jen asking if i was okay. And i really teared up, it was so nice of them to ask about me and send me their bests especially when my real family didn't and hasn't yet.
Then on here all of you in the morning blog asking about me everyday and giving me well wishes,it truly means so much to me to be cared about in a family way.
Even at GM nationals throughout the day you guys/girls would ask how I'm feeling. Joe and Keane you would wait for me if i needed a rest and not just go on looking without me.
This is a real family it's more than just fellow car owners for sure, we look out for each other. For someone like me without a real family, you guys/girls are as close as it gets for me, and i really needed to type this out and make a sincere:
Thank You
To everybody here. It just wouldn't feel right not thanking all of you.

That was kind of sad to read, sorry to hear that your own family really didn't reach out to see how things were going. But that's what friends are for, to help each other in a time of need and I believe everyone here on this forum are all excellent at doing that. And I think that's what makes this place more than a forum, it is an extended family.
Glad to hear you're doing well, and hopefully you don't have to go through that again.

Devin, you really touch on something you never hear about, the good that can come out of the Internet (instead you hear about all the bad things the Internet does).
This forum is uniting people with a common interest, from there, we build our friendships. It also helps that some members (like your self) frequent MCF to read and post (so we learn more about everyone with every post).
Thanks so much for expressing what MCF has come to mean to you. And trust me, you're not alone in how you feel.

Glad your doing better.
I find it odd how sometimes relatives don't seem to act like family when some one is in a bad spot/hurt/sick.But your friends will be right there for you.Even the ones you only know from a forum.

Great story. Glad you are feeling better. I hope my family supports me when I have my back surgery. My Boss sure as heck didn't. I am pretty tight with my immediate family. Sucks when familys drift apart. Wishing you well!
