So as many of you remember about the SOPA act by the government to kind of censor the internet. Well tommorow 1/17/12 Wikipedia and others will be down for the day to protest the act. More here

It really is stupid to censor the internet, its just like tv put child locks on it if your children shouldnt see it, its simple but people who are too lazy to do something about it have to go to the extreme just to make it super easy on themselves

I don't understand why something that we pay for can be censored. I never understood it from the start.
MAYBE if internet was free and given to us, but it's not. That would be like censoring extra pay channels on television.

Exactly, its something we pay for so we should be able to view whatever we want. Most of the country is against the bill, yet they insist it must be passed. If it does we're just going to loose tons of websites that are part of the internet and americas "freedom" will be no more, atleast on the internet. Anyone seen wikipedia today?
