Default I'm HEATED right now...

Sooooooooooooo I just got my CAI FINALLY after 5 weeks of waiting...I was super excited to install it FINALLY after waiting so F***ing long! (excuse my language, I am just to pissed to write any different) Well, I opened the box, and thought WTF, where is the coupler that it was supposed to come with??? SURPRISE MPD, Inc. strikes again...he didnt include it like he was supposed to! So guess what I have a really nice CAI that I can't install....wow i'm so happy I got it! NOT! So I e-mailed the guy Eric at MPD...below is all of or e-mails to each other...was I not clear I had the V6? Did I not stress that I needed the coupler? Did he not tell me "don't worry, it comes complete???" I am so mad right now I swear this guy is lucky I don't live within driving distance of his shop.

So do you think I was overly rude in my e-mail to him? Be honest...I literally wrote it about 2 min after opening the box, and believe me, its not even close to what I wanted to say...Below are all our e-mails!

Sorry for ranting, but I just had to tell someone! And incase you havent already got the hint, I DON NOT RECOMMEND ANYTHING COMING FROM MPD, INC!!!!!

Hi Eric,

Well, I just received my cold air box today, and to my disappointment, it is not complete the way you said it would be...I specified that I had the V6, and you told me it required a coupler. I also asked if the coupler was included in the price for the CAI. If you reference the e-mail trail below, you will see that I specifically said I had a V6, and needed the coupler. You will also see that you told me the coupler was included in the price, and not to worry it would come complete. So my question is, why didn't my order include the coupler? What am I supposed to do without the coupler? Don't I need it in order to install the CAI in my V6 Monte Carlo? Please let me know whats going on, and what I am supposed to do.

Thanks,
Michael

...`Michael, I think your email was mild...I would call & talk the his supervisor/manager/owners. Maybe they don't realize the impact that our Monte Carlo Forum can have on their business ? ? Sure hope they resolve your problem & give you a credit/refund on your patience. Good Luck

and I THOUGHT when I opened this thread you were going to talk about your new leather seats and get them heated... you know like a pun.

Sorry to hear about this, hope in the end all is made right. Never threaten, but always say what you want done when talking to the manager

I think your email was pretty mild too.

Don't think I'm going to be buying anything from MPD.

Just as an update to everyone...I just got an e-mail back from Eric, the president of MPD, he says that I can do the install without the coupler, and it works just fine. He claims that after our e-mails he lost his supplier for the coupler (and this is my problem why??? get me a damn coupler) (he probably lost his supplier because they cut him off because of his bad business ethics), so thats why he didnt give me one. But he says when the CAI is purchased with the ram air hood, it does not include the coupler anyway, and the factory rubber tube is used. He then said that if he gets a new supplier he will make sure I get my coupler if I still want it.

The thing that really sucks is he is the owner/ president, so there is no one else to complain to.

If I were you, I would go buy myself a coupler and then ask for a price refund for what the coupler cost.

Already searching....Once I get my car back tonight, and look at the size of everything, I just might be ordering the coupler myself, because I found them online for like $25 bucks...then I will ask for the refund. But the coupler can always be added later, I am still installing the CAI this weekend!
