Happy Monday to all of you! Thought maybe id cure some back to work boredom by sharing this little story...

Borrowed my dads new f150 ecoboost for the weekend to haul some stuff to Lafayette, IN. Picked up my gf to keep me company. When i arrived at her house i left the truck running, as id only be a minute. When i went inside her house the truck was running just fine (quietly, as a twin turbo V6 does lol ....came back out and the fan was making the most god-awful whine, so i shut it off and let it sit a moment. Turned the truck back on and everything was normal. Then the fan kicked on...once it started all you heard was this loud "WHOP WHOP WHOP WHOP" until it got up to speed then it just started that whine again. I immediately shut it down and popped the hood to inspect. What i found was surprising to say the least....

i guess this is just a risk of living out in the middle of nowhere, basically in a forest Ive seen plenty of snakes over the years, but none quite so big as that one, WAS almost 4 feet long...and i still cant figure out what kinda snake it was!

yeah it is definitely unfortunate for him/her....plus it sucks for us cuz they usually eat all the mice and keep em outta our barn

 

Looks like a black rat snake.
