And I walked away....

The site has an auto-censor for certain words. The first three letters in t-i-t-l-e trip the censor. The mods have no control over this. We find it just as annoying as you do.

Good thinking. If you're paying, get what you want. Don't settle for less and regret it for years to come.

At $350 a Month, you are basically financing $18260 after tax, title, license at 5.5% or $16,000 selling price. If the car has 17,000 miles on it, make them put a extended warranty on so the it is covered to 53,000-miles (on your odometer). That would be more than fair -- for you!

I'm just frustrated that Che@#$%let doesn't have anything newer I want right now.....
I wanted that 70s Caprice, but it has been sold. I've been told to actually look for '89 or '90 Caprice with the police packages...haven't found anything that tickles my fancy yet.

'94-96 Impala SS's have held their value EXTREMELY well, and the police versions are basically the same cars. The SS's are very plentiful, and easy to find. Problem is they get squat for milage. Rock solid cars, tho. TANKS

Cort - I think you did good in running away fromthat deal. Perhaps the more interesting question is why were you considering that car in the first place? I've never driven one, but a 190 hp V-6 in a car that weighs more than 3,700 pounds cannot be a good thing - especially at that price. [:-]I've made plenty of buying mistakes over the years, but I think I've finally learned my lesson.
Chargers look sweet, but I would never buy one (even an SRT-8) because it's a four-door. Now, if they ever come out with a two-door version, I'll be tempted to at least take a look. However, with the Challenger due in showrooms before long, I think the chances of ever seeing a Charger coupe are pretty slim.

Wayne,
Several others have mentioned the mid-90s Che#$%let Caprices/Impalas to me. While they are RWD (and what I'd want, obviously), I'm not keen on the styling....
gale,
I was considering it because it is what I want ... RWD. Engine size doesn't matter to me. I had a 2.7 V6 Dodge Charger for one of my recent road trips ... and it seemed just fine to me. Then again, I'm not much into power and racing....
*shrugs*
And, I agree ... I doubt we'll see a coupe Charger anytime soon. I'm not sure I like the Challengers as much; course, the price tag might have something to do with that. I like the G8s that are soon to arrive, but again, price tag will be a bit steep, I suspect.
