I am sorry to post this but.......

1. Get a lawyer.

It is good to hear you and your wife are okay. Injuries can and do show up a day or two later after being in an auto accident.

But with dealing with a state or a state run agency you may find yourself on the short end of the repair bill stick, so to speak.

I know when the fire truck hit the new car of the guy who stopped to help when our roof caught fire, the cops on the scene said, "Everyone fixes their own."

The fire truck wasn't even scratched. This poor guy's new car was wiped out on the driver side.

Oh that's bull crap....Everyone doesn't fix their own...man...that's frustrating. I would hold off on the lawyer until your insurance company (if you have a good one) tries to deal with the state's. If there is no resolve, then get a lawyer.
