I do'nt know if that was intentional or not. I've had bushes make very similar marks. But you're on top of that car going ahead and getting it out. Just a shame how some people don't respect things that you think should be respected.

Mike,

Check out the Titan Quatro 4L cover from Car Covers and Covers for Trucks, Boats & More | EmpireCovers.com or the Ultimate Shield Car Cover from Car Covers at Car-Covers.com. I've used Car Covers.com before; good product & service. I haven't bought from Empire but was about to place an order with them.

I'm checking out a CoverCraft Noah car cover, Jason is highly recommending it and it has good padding.

Also it's only 225 from amazon:
Amazon Amazon

But I will compare that one with those, thanks!!!

Dude, you told me this morning of some scratches, those are worse looking then I thought! And on a surface you RECENTLY had repainted!! WTH!!
I wish you could find who did that. They probably drive a horrible beater.

Anycase, yeah, my cover is from 2008, by Wolf Automotive (I believe the parent company is Global-Accessories). Now you have to look it up under CoverCraft. When i got mine, they did NOT offer one for a Monte with a spoiler!! But it fit's good enough for me.
Mine is made with the Noah fabric, breathable, very water and debris resistant! I use the same fabric on the Camaro, my wife's Mustang and the Monte. All have been outside stored (well, the Camaro has not been outside in YEARS, but it was the first to get my loyalty to these covers).
I've only washed the Monte and Camaro covers ONCE since I've owned them (as with practice of careful folding, the inside that touches the car stays clean so long as you ONLY cover a clean car).
My Monte cover took some dirt from this year having to cover and uncover the Monte multiple times doing the HVAC stuff. So I washed it.

I did recently notice a small hole in an odd spot (along the top of the spoiler where no corners are at). For all I know it was a critter related cause, but the cover is still under 4 year warranty and my wife just dropped the box off this morning to ship it out (they will send me a new one back, no questions asked, just SAVE your invoice).

Also, I recommend the "securtiy rope" and lock. Once in a while, I've had a cover hit by HIGH winds and blow off, with that security lock, it does NOT leave the car (as it can't clear the wheels) and all materials are non-harmful to the car. I also have a storage bag (only one, even though I should get it for all the cars). The bag is great if you take the car to a show (like I did to the GM Nats this year). Keeps the cover from getting unfolded or dirty.

Sorry for the disrespectful people who live around you Mike. I hate it when people do that.
Here is the cover that I currently have. I had the Noah type earlier but cats ( not mine ) and wear took it's toll on it.
This one is pricey but well woth it and it will not scratch the paint.

I may have an unfair condition with mine. Since my car stays in a carport 95% of the time; it isn't subjected to all of the weather elements. Looking for something that can handle the outdoors would be a benefit.

Funny cause I was parked by a baseball diamond last night. At the time there was no game on, when I returned 3 hours later. My windshield was smashed and had a big crack down it. So now I need it replaced. What pissed me off was when i showed up, i had to go around asking the coaches what happened. Nobody left a note or anything, they were just hoping I wouldnt show up in time.

So the dumb@ss coach tried putting the blame on the city parks or the fact I was parked there. I get it was an accident, but nobody even man'd up and said sorry.

I would have to agree with you mike that kind of SHET is not cool, and people **** me off aswell

happy to see you where able to pull them out and they where superficial,

We aswell live in a appartment, i discovered last year some one had scratched the paint in the intrigue at the rear bumper and then did it again in the same exact spot, this had to be pulling in/out of the the parking spots, they are deep and not a easily repaired,

i have looked for paint tranfer and have come up empty when i still had the saturn i said if i found out who it is they will get a big blue saturn streak down the side of thier car ,
not 100% sure but i'm pritty sure it happened with the monte too but the rear bumper is in pritty sad shape when i bought it so they could have been there but i don't remember it, just less damage compaired to the intrigue

$40 a month in insurance that my car gets it's own garage stall is what i decided when i knew i was going to get a new car... now if i could just get them to seal the thing up so it wouldn't leak i would be a happy camper, and if any damage happens i did it...

i will be watching this tread aswell as i want to get a good quality cover for the monte aswell

DAMN! MIKE....I sorry to hear what happened to your car. I went thru that same crap when we 1st got married. We lived in a townhomes for yrs. Not easy keep your pride & joy clean and protected living in a apt or townhome. I remeber my 1st garage I was in love. Just once I'd like to catch someone doing that to someones car. I was at a K mart one Sunday parked by the front door. Waiting for Carmen to come out when some ding bat around 30 put her bag of grocerys on my 1974 Dodge Charger! When I looked up and saw her doing that. I could have punched someone. I put it in gear and back up and her bag of crap fell off. AS that happened my wife came out and saw the whole thing. While the so called lady started screamin at me. My wife walked by and told her before I did its not your car is it! I would have used stronger words if I had the chance. Some people are just idiots. Even to this day if & when we take any of my 2 cars to a store I park in row 92. All by it self after I drop my wife at the door. Glad you fixed it Mike. HOpe you get a cover soon. Anything will help to protect it.
