Default I hate cross-badging

You may have read in another thread that there is someone near me that took the SS badges from a 2006-2009 Chevy SS. And put them on his Chrysler PT Cruiser. See attached pics. The SS is really bright thanks to the reflection of the sun.

This is not the first time I've seen badges from one vehicle deliberately put on a completely different brand/make of car. Personally, I think this looks kinda dumb. Most of the time. There are rare occasions when it does work.

Any thoughts on this? What's your opinion of doing this? Would you do it to your car? Maybe you already did?

I think having the Chevy SS badges on a stock 4 cylinder Chrysler PT Cruiser makes a mockery of the SS nameplate.

What's your opinion?

I am not a fan of this. There is no reason for it, but if someone wants to look foolish who are we to stop them.

My first thought was "poser" but then again posing as what?!?!? Guess springing for the R/T or Hemi badges was too obvious?

Was a dealer in the area that used to put "Sport" decals on just about everything they sold. "Oooooh look a Grand Caravan Sport!" It was kind of funny cause you pretty much knew who bought a vehicle from him!

Back to Taz's question, it bothers me a bit but I pretty much go with the thought that those that know what the SS means know that a PT Cruiser isn't one and those that don't know what it means could care less. It IS better then someone with a non-SS Monte putting the same badges on their car. IE:poser!

It's your duty to go ahead and do him a favor, remove them immediately.

That's retarded.
Maybe its someone playing a joke on him, if that's the case, its a very mean joke.
