Ive heard of cars falling off lifts more than once and also other horror stories like forgetting to tighten the drain plug, lug nuts or other bolts. I think my favorite of all time tho happened when my buddy was a Tech at A national shop. One of the guys hired to do oil changes did an oil change and completely filled the crankcase with oil. Right to the top of the dipstick. My buddy said oil was oozing out of everywhere. So I guess a little body work isn't too bad.

That is a bummer and I'd be super pist too. At least the guy had some remorse for what he did and they're fixing it. At the college I work at I've seen plenty of hit and runs where you're allowed to parallel park. Most can't do it so upon backing in they bump someone and then look around and take off fast. Pretty sad since they never notice me in my truck eating lunch.

I guess we have to be more careful when we instruct someone to "fill it up with oil and send it on its way" don't we?

A lot of the "accidents" in our shop are mostly due to the lay out of the building or one of the wash kids(these guys are not the brightest or very skilled)being careless. Some reason we go through wash kids fairly quick.
Theres the occational popped tire on a lift arm. Most of the guys we have are good at not messing up a customers car.Our dealership is fairly good at taking care of a customer.

JUst got off phone with body shop. They are replacing rear bumper cover with a new one. He was real nice. Said It would be done no later than Thursday. So that's good. In the meantime, wife is enjoying the air conditioned seats in the Lincoln. Stereo has 9 speakers and rocks. Best factory stereo I have heard..

Good to hear they're doing it right.

One of my managers has a lincoln with the air conditioned seats. Said it really helps eliminate the problem of your back getting sweaty in the summertime. I think it's a cool feature. Have you tried it yet Jerry? How did you like it?
