how to wire up foglights

Default how to wire up foglights

im going to get some foglights for christmas first question is should i attach the lights to the side markers wires. second question how can i remove the fuse that controls my auto on-off lights so i could drive with just the fogs and hazards on at night. oh and what are the best sub $50 fogs

I would wire them up to a rocker switch, that's what I did.

I would advise not running just fogs and hazards at night, fogs don't have that great of output.

Aftermarket fogs are going to be just about the same no matter what you get, I would look for ones with H1 or H3 bulbs, they'll have better output.

wire them to a rocker switch like mitch said. That way you can turn them on and off whenever you want.

Wiring them to the side markers is a bad idea. They will overheat the wiring. You need to wire them to a rocker switch. Adding a relay in there isn't a bad idea too.
