While the camera you have is important, its not the camera that makes the picture, its how you use it. What your background is, how you compose the shot and so on.
Most of the pictures that you see for car magazines, and in fact most of the photos that are used as examples are pretty much 4-6 photos combined into one shot.
Sometimes the sky you see is from a different city than the ground too.

I often combine about 3 photos into one. I use a polarizing filter to take the glare off the windshield, then rotate that filter to take the glare off of the other windows, then rotate the filter to get a better shot of the sky.
Then I combine all three of the photos so that there is hardly any reflections off the car and the paint.
But that's time consuming and I don't do it for everything haha
