In over 40 years of driving I'm sure I have had over 6 tickets, all for speeding. Last one was in 2004, usually try to be attentive looking for cops and run a radar detector. Think my next bust will be an undercover, unmarked or off duty that will get me as they are not typically hot pinging traffic, by design.

One for speeding. 55 in a 40. Apparently 15 over is my thing, I've gotten pulled over for it three times within a year. Troopers let me go, Sheriff didn't. Went through the process and had it reduced to failure to obey a traffic signal. 2 points, just under $200. I try to behave myself most of the time, need my license for my job.

Surprisingly not one ticket in the MonteMind you I've been pulled over a few times, Once for going 150+ on the 10 in Cali
I've gotten at least 20 tickets over the years for all kinds of stupidity 115 in a 55. Lots of unsafe starts an stupid BS tickets.Never got a single point all of them got dropped. This doesn't count all the times I was let go with just a warning.Including several speeding an illegal speed contest

running a red light (I still say it was yellow)
90 in a 70
50 in a 40
40 in a 25
110 in a 30 (whoops)
my favorite "contest of speed"
loss of control of vehicle (burnout)

how many of them held up in court? 2

dont ask, im not allowed to tell.

before flaming, the 110 in a 30 was non residential, just a stupid low limit in the country where no police have ever been seen until that one day. just so you all know, it can happen. also, that was a written warning because the officver was friendly (or didnt want to do the paperwork involved) got lucky, you might not be so much so. recently, the speed limit on this road was increased to 55.

that has been all my tickets i the last 15 years.
last time i was pulled over, my turn signal switch was shorting out. first thing officer said (no joke) nice car!
Me: thank you sir
Officer: man, your tail lights are doing all sorts of crazy things.
me: really?
Officer: yeah, hit the left turn signal, right light wasnt working, hit the right signal, left ight wasnt working, signal off, one moment everything is fine, next moment, no brake lights at all. you need to get that fixed, it could cause an accident and i dont want to see this nice car ruined because of it.
Me: thank you sir, I know exactly what it is and will fix it immediately.

fixed an hour later because of tearing the stupid mother@#%&* steering column apart to replace a bloody switch.

Thankfully I haven't had any yet in the 3-4 years I have been driving (knock on wood). It seems like I have just been lucky with a little bit of knowing where the cops like to sit. There have been several times when I have gotten on it a little bit (or a lot) and had a bad feeling so I slowed down and almost as soon as I did a cop would come around the corner. Recently I have been trying to take it careful because since I installed my cams, my mustang has gotten a lot louder. So I try not to get on it as much because my car sounds like it is going faster than it really is.
