Hi Habbibie,
Thanks for your post & thoughts.
I agree that the young generation is really addicted to
electronic devices...Even the young beach surfer's are
always on their cell phones & calling their friends & talking
to them when they are only a few feet away (lol)

How many hours did you post in your vote ?
I sure hope the schools still have Phy Ed or some type
of exercises (or do high schooler's only play online
sports in 2day's world >

I tried my best to count my total hours and between computer use, phones, radio and whatever ticks I am surprised I only spent about 3.75 hours give or take 15mins. this includes a full 10 hour work day, I think I use electronics more due to work than during time off of work. I know personally (and my wife would confirm it) I like using more mechanical than technological equipment.

It varies depending on what's going on at work. If I'm spending most of my time building pumps, it's less. If I spend most of my day testing motors, pumps, or seals (I'm over the entire test well as well as pump build, seal build, and weld/paint), it's almost the entire shift. If I'm not working on either of those and my supervisor has other projects for me, I average about half my 11 hour shift on the computer.

That doesn't count my 2 hours or so at home when I'm unwinding and researching stuff for my cars or the next truck that I'm going to buy.

If you want to count the blood glucose monitor that I'm now using (it is technically an electronic device after all), that adds another 15-30 minutes a day depending on how much difficulty I'm having getting enough blood to test, and I'll be setting up a spreadsheet soon to keep track of my test data.
