I think we could easily last a year....
However, for me I can only last around 36 hrs with the ability to walk..since my leg is controlled by a micro processor..the battery life is only good for 36 hrs... after that its either crutchs, hoping or a wheel chair (Manually operated).
Lizzy's Insulin pump however, does use batterys.. But she has a super supply of them..(I cant tell you how many she has) But in the 8 yrs she has been on the Insulin pump.. she has never ran out of battery power yet...LOL

Not at all. I am a slave to modern conveniences. And I'm not very good at thumb twiddling! But then Maybe, because I'm a Geek, I would spend the time trying to figure out how to get those things back. After all, it would be a problem to solve!
