Guess we don't have any survivalist experts here. The key here is I could survive if I had bullets. I have a nice big property that is secluded, surounded by a bug fence, and wood heated. If I had bullets (which I always do) I could survive off the land pretty much indifenently. But I would miss my monte.

Thanks 'David for your post & being able to survive.
Where is your property located so that we can all ride our horses there & join you >

Do you have your seeds for your garden ? It's great that you
have property & know how to survive without power

I have a bow & arrow + fishing poles (LOL) Space has guns (LOL) but we took away his bullets >

I once went 10 months without the MCF, so that proves I'm a survivor!

LoL 'Brent, yes & you were sorely missed 4>Sure
The MCF can be addicting & it's sad when someone takes away the connection 4Really Sure...I let 'Space know of your return & he faxed me back & said to say 'hi to you & 'all.

I sure hope he makes it back for Xmas. He's living in a tent on one of the islands until the boat returns with supplies...
He is missed by his BeachBumFamily 4Sure...

The MCF is kinda like life > It's in constant change...hopefully 4 the better

Hahaha its up off of highway 410 in Washington. I don't have to have fishing poles cause I could pull enough salmon out of the knee deep stream in the fall to last a few months (especially with the natural cold temps to keep it fresh) the garden regularly grows corn, lettuce, beans, tomatoes, squash, pumpkins, carrots and some other things. The pond outfront could support a healthy bass population which could add to the food supply. The woods have a good amount of deer, and trapable animals such as rabits. Its very secluded but has a good view over the main highway heading up the mountains. (Iv looked through it with my scope shhhhh) overall its a great place to live in the modern world and would work very well in a powerless gas-less situation.

I'd say as long as I need to.I've spent weeks in the field with out fuel or power. It's not that bad after you learn a few things it's pretty easy really.
Of course the Marines did teach me a thing or two
