I have driven 170 mph in a c5 Z06. I was young and dumb is why also 115 in my old Monte...again, young and dumb, it started shaking violently at that speed so I let off.. and my 99 Monte has no O/D so 105 in it. I was keeping up with a friend.

 

i got the opportunity to ride in a ZR1 vette last summer for a benefit cannonball type run......my friend that was driving let off at 165 (which it did easily)

i pegged the 150 mph speedo in my LT1 camaro when i was 18 (should be dead)

i dont know how fast i've gone in my gtp, i've trapped 113 in the quarter :P my gps has said max of 135, and when it still had the stock trans (2.93 gears in gtp's) i let out as it tried shifting into 4th, found a calculator online that took gear ratio and tire size into account, and it figured out to be like 151 or something ridiculous.....i also outran my friend in his GTP, his HUD said 140 and i was pulling away from him....

almost top of 6th on my friends built CBR 900RR...by far the scariest and craziest thing i have ever done. i have gone waaaaaay too fast in waaaay to many vehicles to have never been hurt!

 

Well, made a new record in my Monte... 136 and held it for a good mile. You wouldnt belive how fast a mile goes by at that speed.
I have a question though for anyone who can help, how fast will my Monte go. I have the stock size diameter tires.

 

My 01 MC SS got up to 100 mph before, while the fastest I have ever taken the 95 Chevy Impala SS was to 124. I have had the Impala for longer and have never taken the monte up to that point.

 

I had a BMW up to 135 when it hit the limiter on a two lane highway. The Monte has seen 125 but haven't had it past that due to a lack of highway. I am sure it has plenty more.

 

Couple of months old now but I've had my 01 SS up to 120 MPH several times. The last time my weather stripping on the passenger side of the windshield came loose! Waving like a flag in the wind. Had to stop or it would've been gone.
