Default Hot Rod Power Tour Stops In Dayton

And your's truely was there.

YEP! The Power Tour stopped in Dayton at UD Arena and Debbie & I went.

It was overcast and rainy so instead of taking a '57 Chevy and getting it wet we took my '86 LS Monte (Carlo).

Got there, was told we needed to register (A fast $25) went back to the car to go park and WOW, the #$%^&* alarm disabled the starter for me.

So after waiting about 20 minutes the car started and we headed over to park with the others.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many nice cars and trucks arrived throughout the afternoon. We walked for a long time. (almost like attending Goodguys)

We had both been up for hours at this point and needed to rest a bit. We got sat down by the Monte and a friend came by. He wanted to talk so Deb napped a little and I talked. I spotted a silver '86-88 LS Monte come in so I wanted to go find it and look it over. Of course there were 1,000 '57 Chevies there. Quite a few Monte Carlos were there including a black 2006 3LT or LTZ.

By late afternoon the sun was actually out.

I think there were close to 1,500 cars there? And we must have taken 200 photos. (I need to upload them someplace)

We were home by 7pm. Ate a little and some much needed rest.

But I figure this was my one chance to attend the Power Tour and I was going.

Now! If I could only figure out how to remove that old alarm from Carlo and get rid of it?

The Power Tour came to southern WI and we should have gone. It sounds like sooo much fun. We saw a couple of cars at the cruise night yesterday with the Power Tour 2009 decal across their windshields.

Soundz like a GREAT time RJ! I was 10 minutes from the Power Tour on Monday, but I was prepping for a flight to Minn / SP for a long Tuesday (20 hrs), so it didn't happen for me. Dag Nabbit Wabbit!
Let us know when you get pic's posted.

Sorry no pics uploaded just yet.

Trying to get the grass mowed between rain storms and work (they make me do that) and okay, I was at a cruiise-in last night.

The rain clouds kept most away from the thursday evening cruise-in but a few brave souls came out in their '55 Chevies, '88 Trans-Am, Corvettes, an '87 SS Monte Carlo, '03 Monte Carlo Pace car (not sure who this guy is?), '48 Chevy step side, '61 GMC pickup, '48 Plymouth convertible, '32 Furd street rod, and about a dozen others.

Cort,

We did go. And it was great.

I posted pics. They got moved to the car show, events board if you want to see them.

Sorry that only 2/3rds of my photos got uploaded on to web shots. The other 1/3rd wasn't loaded to their web site. Why is beyond me?
