Glad the damage was minimal. A deer is a quick way to total a vehicle.

Hi `Matt,
First, I'm glad that you were not hurt & that your Monte only had minor damage Did you keep the deer & clean & dress him `out...? ?

I also had a PowerBall ticket that my boss gave me, but I was not the winner...Someone did win it, & it would be great `if it was you or one of our member's 4-Sure...

Good Luck on getting your Monte Tank back in Top Condition Yes, I believe Monte's are super Safe rides

p.s. Do you deer hunt in PA ? We have deer in Florida, but they are small & not like the Big Ones in your area of the country....

Happy that you & your Monte are still with us
Be Safe Out there `OK

I am glad that you and your Monte are fine. I hope you got some Venison out of the whole ordeal. The last time I drove through PA I could not believe the number of road kill dear on the side of the road.

I was very scared for you when I saw the thread title.

I ran OVER a deer once in the Monte, just make sure you clean the undercarriage really well. If you miss some spots when the exhaust gets hot it will SMELL SO BADDDD.

WOW Matt...I'm glad it wasn't worse. Considering that you could have potentially totaled your car, you got lucky. Glad your ok, and your Monte will be back to 100 percent too.

My biggest fear was suspension damage because of how hard I hit the thing. I think what saved me was that it went right down the center of the car. I was also worried about the horns poking a hole in something but I didnt see any real damage underneath. The deer must have been cleaned up by someone because I dont see it on the road, unless it limped off the side of the road an died somewhere.

I ordered the piece that got torn off through GM. It should be here in like a week. It was only 50 bucks luckily. Its actually a lower support more than an air deflector.

Still no leaks or noises so I think Im in the clear.

Space, I used to hunt but lately I have little interest in sitting in the cold and not seeing anything worth shooting. I also have no interest in cleaning and gutting a deer, especially something that was mangled by two (and possibly more) cars. I guess thats what my taxes are for. The game commission can deal with it. Im pretty sure the rack is broken anyway and that would have been the only thing worth saving.

Ill get a pic of the damage here after work.
