okay, lets just say (god forbid) that monte carlos never existed. What would you be driving right now? Why? Keep in mind its not about your "dream car" its what (within reason) you would probably be driving instead of the monte that never existed, be it a daily driver or your track car.

I would probably still be driving my 93 f150 or one similar to it.

When I bought my Monte Carlo there were two other cars that I almost went with instead, but the Monte had the lowest miles, and seemed to be in the best condition.

The other contenders were a 2003 Mustang, V6. It was dark blue, real pretty looking for a Mustang, but 78,000 miles and $10,000.

The other was a 1999 Camaro Z28, bronze, (sorta an ugly color, fast though) with 80,000 miles. The only thing that kept me from buying the Camaro was that when I looked into the carfax report I found it had been near totaled back in 2001 and rebuilt, and the bank wouldn't give me a loan based on that.

So if it weren't for the Monte I'd either be driving a 1999 Camaro Z28, or a 2003 Mustang SVT. Not ashamed to admit those, both good cars, but I still love my Monte.

if monte's never existed neither would I. but that said i would go for any gm with a 3800 except buicks or olds models.....so basically a grand prix or impala. i'm a mechanic so its not just about the awesome style of a monte that i love its the platform its built on as well they are bullet proof compared to other cars. my previous cars have also been
'87 dodge dakota
'89 honda accord sei
'87 dodge dakota (yes i'm a sucker for punishment)
'91 gmc jimmy
'97 vw golf
'89 jeep cherokee
'95 grand am (this car i tweeked the crap outta)
and now......
