Hello MCF, wow been on the CDT for 2 months
I have to say I miss civilization and then I don't now that I'm back in the game. There are segments of the Continental Divide Trail which are extremely brutal, remote and at times dangerous. Other segments are pure boredom with miles and miles of road walking. I have been back about a week now and it is strange to sleep in a bed after a 1/2" pad for 2 months in the dirt, tree's and lately the cold.
I just wanted to take a minute to say hello again to everyone, can't wait to catch up with how everyone's summer went and who went broke building their Monte. I have to spend the next couple days getting my corporate taxes figured out so they can be filed by Monday Oct. 15th. Once that is done I will go more into what we went through. It was really an incredible trip, 6 of us started and only 2 finished to Yellowstone ( I was one) Almost 1,000 miles from the San Juan Wilderness and the head of the Rio Grande in lower Colorado up in to the Yellowstone Wilderness in Wyoming and all in about 9 weeks.
I thought about my Monte quite a few times and on occassions realized how insane it is to be caught up in the material world and all the stress that money puts on ones life. The more you have the more you spend and then your back at it again trying to get more money just to spend it again on another item you just have to have. LOL, guess thats life really, otherwise it would not be so enjoyable if we did not have our personal moments. You all take care, good to be back in a way, BRING ON THE STRESS!!!

Zippy: can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. I agree about be trapped in our way of life. But thats what we do. Once your out like that. It makes you wonder at times is it all worth it. Thats why they call it a rat race I guess

The trip must have wore him out & he hasn't returned to post his update (?) I guess Greg is still tired & enjoying sleeping in his bed and not on the cold ground
I'll be looking forward to his next post with a update
