November 1st is All Saints day in the Christian church... though not really a celebrated one. October 31'st was "Hallo eve" which somehow over the years became "Halloween". Then somehow or another ghosts, goblins, and flying pumpkins worked their ways into it and it became a "satanist" holiday. The truth is its actually a Christian holiday.

 

My parents used to get 300 or more beggars on Halloween. Thye told me they got zero the other night. Sad how people have done this to what used to be a special night for kids. (and a lot of grown-ups)

At work it's an excuse for employees to wear their favorite team jersey.
My employer allows employees to wear halloween costumes on halloween. But like I said, most people show up wearing a sports team jersey. When asked what they're supposed to be, the answer is always, "I'm a (insert team name here) fan!"
